Classmates
Please sign up. This section is fun for all. You can search for a particular classmate and sort by Date of Signup to see new additions or Latest Edit to see revisions to earlier postings.
Due to privacy concerns, we have elected not to provide a link to a file of classmate contact information as we did after our 40th reunion. But one of the cool features of this website is the ability to connect with fellow classmates—assuming the necessary information is posted and kept up-to-date.
How to be found. To opt in to be found by classmates, you need to post or update a profile in the Classmates section, including name, current city, state, and email. It isn't necessary to answer any other question, like street address, occupation, marital status, hobbies, or children or to include comments—though your fellow classmates will be interested in this information. Your email address will be "blinded," and classmates can use the Send a Message link within each profile without learning your email address. They can also use the Where Are They Now feature to see a geographic distribution of class members.
If you've provided a profile in the past, sign in to your profile to see if we have an up-to-date email address and physical location for you. There is a username and password recovery feature if you've forgotten your log in information.
How to find classmates. Using the Send a Message feature is the best way to find Class of 1967 members. For those classmates who haven't posted a profile, you may use the Contact Us form to request that we pass along your inquiry. However, you will not receive a response if the email address we have is outdated.
Even if you do not choose to post a profile on the website, the database that class reunion planners maintain must have a current email address in order to inform you of possible future events. If you change your email address, use the Contact Us link to let us know.

How do you describe the last 50 years..what a journey it has been!! After high shool I went to Dental Hygiene School at Penn and then finished degree in North Carolina. Upon graduation I fled to warm and sunny California and ended up in San Francisco in the immediate post hipppie era..it was actually the disco era..had a wonderful time. Ended up moving to the Monterey Bay area where I met my husband Mal who was a doctor /lawyer who worked in medical malpractice. He had 5 gorgeous sons, three of whom I helped raise and we had one between us. Spent 20 years of marriage working as hygienist , practice manager (when we moved to San Diego and Mal set up a practice) and mother. We moved to New Zealand and I became involved in setting up a dental hygiene school there. I had finished my masters in Health management and when my husband passed away (13 years ago) I became more involved in academics and have been teaching in the Periodontics department at the University of Sydney. I developed an international programme and started taking my students on volunteer trips to Cambodia and Vanuatu Now I am 'semiretired' from the Uni as 'international liaison' organising electives for incoming and outgoing dental students and traveling a lot as President of the International Federation of Dental Hygienists. So thats me in a nutshell. I am so sorry not to be able to be at the renunion because I have planned to be at a Preventive dentistry conference in Delhi. Please contact me if you are so inspired! I will be in the DC area on Oct 11th for the last 2 weeks of the month and then off to Dubai. |

The years since High School have been filled with many twists, turns and surprises. In 1969 I married my first husband and had two sons. That marriage ended in 1974. For the next 17 years I raised my boys as a single parent. In 1983, I became the first woman Little League coach in King of Prussia. Armed with my secret weapons, son John as short stop, son Peter on first base, a lot of guts and blind luck, I took my team to Championship. Needless to say my male counterparts were not too happy. In 1991 I married Mike on a beautiful September afternoon on the deck of the Kitty Knight House on the Sassafras River. This marriage added 2 more teenagers to the mix. In 1993 the project I was working on at GE in King of Prussia transferred to Washington,DC. Mike and I moved to Annapolis, MD so we could be near the Chesapeake Bay and commuted to work in DC for the next 7 years. In 2000, I retired from a 28 year career at GE/Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin as the Operations Manager on a 600 person project supporting the FAA. UPDATE 2017: Since the last reunion, Mike and I have been enjoying our time on the boat and getting involved with local organizations. We recently completed a 3 month cruise on our boat "Tuesday's Child" to Biloxi. Several years ago we joined the United States Power Squadron, a national organization that promotes Boating Education and Boating Safety. Last year, I served as the Commander of the Vero Beach Power Squadron, one of the largest Squadrons nationally. I also serve as the District Conference Manager, planning several conferences a year. I volunteer at the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) Hidden Treasures Thrift Store and am responsible to train new volunteers and also "job coach" students with special needs while they are working in the store. For the past 5 years I have conducted a Fashion Show with the Vero Beach Power Squadron to benefit VNA which supports Hospice. Mike and I recently joined the Vero Beach Yacht Club and are continuing to enjoy time on the water with our boating friends. I am not able to attend the 50th Reunion but would like to thank the organizers for all the time and effort they put in to the event. I will be thinking of all of you, have a great time. |

What are your plans for retirement?: My husband and I retired in 2000 to follow our dream and spend time on the water. We have spent several winters in the Bahamas and have cruised the East Coast from Key West to Maine. Unfortunately we lost our sailboat in the hurricanes and have only recently replaced the sailboat with a trawler. In the meantime, we have also purchased a house in Sebastian, Florida where we enjoy winters in warmer weather. |

Comment: I came South in September 1967 and attended Erskine College. It is located in a town named Due West! Quite a difference from Media, PA. It turned out that I loved college and I majored in History/Government. I graduated in 1971 and they told me that I must leave Due West and go out into the "real world" !! I lived in Columbia, SC and then moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1973 and joined the Atlanta Police Department for two years, but stayed twenty five years and retired in 1998! During those 25 years I owned a Dunkin Donuts Franchise (it seemed like a good idea at the time!), had an "Acting Career", see the movie "Slugger's Wife" (I played a police officer-typecasting) (I did get into SAG) I got married when I was 31 and have three daughters who have all graduated form college and got jobs and moved out!! I ran for US Congress in Atlanta, GA in 1986 and did get into a runnoff. Then in 1998 I ran for the US Congress in the 7th District (Suburban Atlanta area) and I came in third (under 900 votes between 1,2, and 3) and after I ran for Georgia State Senate in 1990 (I came in second) my wife said that if I ran for office again I would be single!!!! Realizing how expensive daughters were (plus I think my wife was serious!), I went back to Law School in 1991 for three years of nights and summers and graduated with my JD in 1994 and passed the Georgia Bar Exam. I eventually became a real estate attorney and I retired from the Atlanta Police Department in 1998. Now I do hundreds of real estate closings every year. My three daughters have grown up, My oldest daughter, Kacie, taught High School History for 10 years and is now a stay at home Mom (although she has a small cookie busines, Cookies By Kacie)with a 3 year old daughter, Cadence and a one year old son, Camron, my second daughter Kellie had a baby at 30, has a cute baby boy, Caleb, but chose not to marry his Father, (too many issues!) She works for an advertising company that does Nisson ads, my third daughter Kimberly got married in June and she and her husband live in Sandy Springs, GA. She works for a medical placement firm. My first two daughters live in Marietta, so we get to babysit a lot! My wife retired from Target Corporation after 18 years and actually works at the elementary school cafeteria for 3 hours a day, home with the Grandchioldren in the summer. I am still "plodding" along with my travelling attorney job doing closings. In 2010 the real estate market collapsed, so my income went way way down. I applied for other attorney jobs, but the answer was always the same, "we have found someone more qualified"!! What they were really saying was that I was too old, but they would get fined if they said that! I have kept doing my real estate closings. It has picked up a bit this year, I can almost pay my bills. I suppose I will keep working until I can no longer work, unless I win the lottery, then I will be on a beach somewhere! | |

What are your plans for retirement?: After teaching special education for several years, then getting my MBA & having a 20 year business career in the financial services industry, I am currently semi-retired & loving it! Coming full-circle, I am a reserve (substitute) teacher. I get to pick & choose when I work, which leaves me free to do other things, i.e. travel, on my own schedule. It's the best of both worlds! |
