Classmates
Please sign up. This section is fun for all. You can search for a particular classmate and sort by Date of Signup to see new additions or Latest Edit to see revisions to earlier postings.
Due to privacy concerns, we have elected not to provide a link to a file of classmate contact information as we did after our 40th reunion. But one of the cool features of this website is the ability to connect with fellow classmates—assuming the necessary information is posted and kept up-to-date.
How to be found. To opt in to be found by classmates, you need to post or update a profile in the Classmates section, including name, current city, state, and email. It isn't necessary to answer any other question, like street address, occupation, marital status, hobbies, or children or to include comments—though your fellow classmates will be interested in this information. Your email address will be "blinded," and classmates can use the Send a Message link within each profile without learning your email address. They can also use the Where Are They Now feature to see a geographic distribution of class members.
If you've provided a profile in the past, sign in to your profile to see if we have an up-to-date email address and physical location for you. There is a username and password recovery feature if you've forgotten your log in information.
How to find classmates. Using the Send a Message feature is the best way to find Class of 1967 members. For those classmates who haven't posted a profile, you may use the Contact Us form to request that we pass along your inquiry. However, you will not receive a response if the email address we have is outdated.
Even if you do not choose to post a profile on the website, the database that class reunion planners maintain must have a current email address in order to inform you of possible future events. If you change your email address, use the Contact Us link to let us know.

Comment: I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion in May. I am having a ball working on the planning committee and hope that we have an even bigger turnout than we did 15 years ago for the 25th. As a former member of NPHS Spirit Committee - "Let's Go Bulldogs" "Let's Go Provvies" Get the lead out and come for a great weekend of events!! We are trying to put together some interesting events and are even going to have some of the "old" football game films from our era for your viewing pleasure, courtesy of Bob Powell. We are also going to try and have copies made onto DVD's. So if anyone out there can help us with that process, please contact me or Bob Powell. Also, if anyone has films or pictures of the NP Follies from 1963 through 1967 please let me know. Enough of the pitch - let's just make this a record turnout...

Hobbies:
For past 22 years, remodeling my home in the good, old neighborhood of Wallingford, PA. (Peter & Mia Hartsook's old house) For now, not too much free time for much else other than studying, studying and more studying...Career change after 26 years as a Commercial Insurance Executive and Risk Management Consultant to a degree in Nursing. My friends think I am crazy - but what can I say..I like challenges. Hobby: I collect books signed by authors, mainly those that are famous for being "a first" at something..Sir Edmund Hillary-1st Man to conquer Mt. Everst, Buzz Aldrin-one of the 1st men to walk on the moon, Shirin Ebadi-1st female judge in Iran, Sandra Day O'Connor-1st woman Supreme Court Justice. I also love to take walks through my neighborhood, which is especially beautiful in the Fall, with my "best guy" Mitch; my 13 year old Maltese (Dog) who thinks he is a giant breed (actually only 9 lbs) and has the brave heart of a lion and is continually protecting me from any passerby that comes too close. I also live vicariously through my daughter and her exciting life in West Hollywood, CA. She was a senior producer for Leeza Gibbons for six years and took me on many press junkets (London, Hawaii (for Pearl Harbor premiere in 2001) and afforded me the opportunity to meet some of my favorite celebs: Paul Newman, Ann Bancroft, Robert DeNiro, Billy Crystal, Mel Gibson (and the real Lt. Gen. Hal Moore (Ret.) of the "We Were Soldiers Once.. and Young" fame) just to name a few. |

What are your plans for retirement?:
I do not plan to retire anytime soon. Right now, I am in the process of obtaining my degree in Nursing. When and if I do/can retire, it will probably be to live closer to my daughter who resides in West Hollywood, California. Should she marry and have children, that would probably motivate me to make the move to CA sooner and fulfill her ongoing requests to do so. I really am looking forward to becoming a grandma.....(someday) |

Some of you know some of this, but none of you know all of this. Where to begin? How about here........ For nearly the last 20 years every Saturday morning at 7:00 Park and i have had coffee. Politics. Sports. Finance. Relationships. When it comes to retirement he says I retired at 27 when I went full entrepreanurial. I counter saying I could have retired at 38, but didn't. Those 11 years are worthy of not a paragraph, nor a chapter but a small book. Suffice it to say that at the intersection of Providence Rd and the Media Bypass I once owned: A very nice split level house, Eight greenhouses, The Media Lttle League field, An RV storage area, ....and a Sunoco station. Tore it all down. Replaced it with 256,000 sq. ft. of class 'A' office space: RoseTree Corporate Center. Eventually sold it to Peco's pension fund. Since then I have made a living takeing substatial positions in small companies with real assets. no debt and a small float. Most of these are sectored in mining and hydrocarbons, things I understand. It is a good living but in no way linear. The assumption of risk is what produces substantial reward. So what am i most proud of? Well, my children grew up from pre-school thru post college in the same house. I made sure they weren't debt slaves to the Federal Government by paying for their college education: two B.A's and a Master's. They both were industrious enough to have part-time jobs from the age of 15 through their college graduation. Once on a real estate transaction I assumed the legal position of a 75 year old woman, who's husband had died post closing, from a spurious 'shake down' lawsuit: it went away. Then there was that incident involveing an electrician stuck on a 440 volt 900 amp line. Ask me in October. And of course RoseTree. Recreation? Certified as a ski instructor in the early 1980's(Ladies and Gentleman independent foot action PLEASE!: Stem that Christie!!!) I have also heli-skied the knee deep powder of 'Route 66', 10,000 feet up in the Purcell Range, British Columbia. Dived refrigerator ships torpedoed by 'unterseeboots' off the coast of Georgia and inadvertantly snorkeled with some very large Barricuda off of Big Pine Key; Tricky things those. How about an eye opener? In 1991, age 42, at the American Motorcylce Association (AMA) Championship Cup Series 750cc Supersport Race of Champions (I.E.: National Finals) in Daytona I qualified third out of a field of 40. Led the race. Went under 2 minutes to set the then Supersport lap record on Dayton's International cirquit, Broomall can flesh out the significance of that, while passing 35 riders. What? It's a great story medivac helicopters and all........October. On Life and Ageing. Sunshine Village is a ski area outside Banff, Alberta. Its base lodge is at 9,000 feet. I was in my mid-thirties teaching mornings with the ski club i came with, free skiing the afternoons. One particular day while skiing the black diamonds off the last chairlift i hooked up with someone complimentary in skill. Good form, powerful, aggressive, all at the expert level......... maybe late 40's in age I guessed. Skied with him all afternoon. He was wide read and topical. A wheat farmer from Saskatchewan, who spent winters enjoying the fruits of 12 hour summer days. After 5 or 6 runs our conversation somehow turned to the ski bindings enemy alpine units used during the war. The only enemy alpine units to my knowledge were German alpine units! My ftiend had to be at least 70!! Turns out he was 73. Since then age has never entered the calculus of any decision i have ever made. Bits & Peices. If Social Media is your life then you haven't one. Emoji's are for the illiterate. Motorcycles should always be ridden 'monoposto'. Tattoos on women are never a statement, always a blemish. And that's the way it is September 11, 2017. See you in October. Photos. Then: 1970, Atlanta Renegades vs South Carolina. Now: 'Fast Jack', a cognomen bestowed by a competitor, Summit Point 1993. |

I am really looking forward to the reunion weekend. My mother still lives in the house I grew up in, so I can walk to Springhaven. Rose Tree Hoagies and Scotty's are long gone, but the Towne House, Pinocchio's and Charlie's Hamburgers are still with us. Charlie's was forced to move to 336 Kedron Avenue in Folsom by a road widening project. It's actually behind the Frontier Bar, a block north of where Kedron Avenue crosses MacDade Boulevard. My favorite local hoagies are from the Little Hut (241 E Chester Pike in Ridley Park, a couple of blocks east of Ridley Hospital). Believe it or not, downtown Media is a lively place, filled with interesting restaurants. The National Guard Armory is now a Trader Joe's and the old A&P next to it is now Iron Hill, a pretty good brew pub. Anne Bellegia recruited me to help assemble photographs for the reunion DVD she is planning. As a result I have been reliving our senior year by scanning from the rolls of black and white negatives I shot for the yearbook. There will be a lot of photographs that never made it into the yearbook, particularly sports and the "Folles," and color photos of "Carnival." It will be great to be able to share the images and memories after all these years. |

In 2004 we moved to Atlanta for me to join the CDC. Now after retriring from work, we just moved to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina to enjoy a new phase of life. We are enjoying our new pool and endless outdoor activities, beach, golf, and exotic plants and birds. Paradise! (October 25, 2017)

Hobbies: I am trying to improve my golf. Jim is a great teacher, but I am not the best student. I love photography and wine and cooking. taking our black and tan coonhound rescue for long walks.

I made good on my plans to not retire. I am still working fulltime. I have changed jobs to a biotech start up called Quanterix. I want to retire leaving a legacy of having worked toward a goal that will revolutionize healthcare in the future. This device is a 1000x more intensive down to the protein level than any blood test given now. Would it not be nicer to to give a blood sample than to have a mammogram and know years ahead of time before a tumor grows, so a treatment could be given before a tumor ever happens? The device can be used to measure concussions with objective analysis instead of the subjective approaches. Just about anything that a blood is used for will be able to be diagnosed by this device. In my leisure I volunteer as a Service Leader for the New England Aquarium Live Blue volunteers. I have learned much about invasive plants and spend much time on the Boston Harbor Islands freeing native trees. In the fall I work in Quincy at the NEAq rehab center for stranded turtles who get caught in the Cape Cod arm trying to go south. Once the turtles become strong enough, many private pilots in the Boston area donate their time and airplanes to fly the turtles to to warmer waters in the south. I have done my best to make Mr. Profeta proud considering I don't have a science degree. |
|
Hobbies: Walking, biking, kayaking so I can sit for hours and knit for fun and profit.
What are your plans for retirement?: My parents died at 86 and 93. I will not make the same mistake of retiring at 65-66 and do nothing with that free time. Assuming I have a healthy dose of their good genes and with the medical wonders of the future, I'm figuring to last at least 5 years longer than them. I get bored on long weekends! 25-30 years of retirement is daunting! I think I want to live, work, learn and enjoy life as long as I physically and mentally can. |

Comment: Boy, how time flies! My stay in Wallingford and NP was fairly short (3 years) with my Aunt and Uncle (Jewell and Henry Herring) who lived on Possum Hollow Rd. Most people don't believe the address, except it was close to Fox Ln. and Rabbit Run etc. After graduation, I returned to the South and graduated from college in Louisiana , got married , had two children(Lawrence Jr. and Tracy) and found myself in the oil business. I divorced after 20+ years and remarried again several years ago. My work has allowed me to travel hence I have worked or taught schools in numerous states domestically and 13 countries internationally, I have lived in South Louisiana for 25 years and when I am not working or traveling my wife utilizes my talents as a Cajun Dance Instructor( She is the real instructor and I am the demo. guy). My wife is involved with tourism among other interest so if anyone desires a Cajun tour give me a call! I have dabbled in old cars and Corvettes for years and still enjoy getting out with the top down. All in all, I feel like I have had a pretty blessed life. Cheers to ALL !

Hobbies: When I am not working, I enjoy working with old cars, collecting antique glass and traveling.
What are your plans for retirement?: I am lucky to work in an area that I really enjoy and make a good living. I own my business and as long as my health holds up I'll keep on going but maybe not at the hectic pace I have right now. |
