Classmates
Please sign up. This section is fun for all. You can search for a particular classmate and sort by Date of Signup to see new additions or Latest Edit to see revisions to earlier postings.
Due to privacy concerns, we have elected not to provide a link to a file of classmate contact information as we did after our 40th reunion. But one of the cool features of this website is the ability to connect with fellow classmates—assuming the necessary information is posted and kept up-to-date.
How to be found. To opt in to be found by classmates, you need to post or update a profile in the Classmates section, including name, current city, state, and email. It isn't necessary to answer any other question, like street address, occupation, marital status, hobbies, or children or to include comments—though your fellow classmates will be interested in this information. Your email address will be "blinded," and classmates can use the Send a Message link within each profile without learning your email address. They can also use the Where Are They Now feature to see a geographic distribution of class members.
If you've provided a profile in the past, sign in to your profile to see if we have an up-to-date email address and physical location for you. There is a username and password recovery feature if you've forgotten your log in information.
How to find classmates. Using the Send a Message feature is the best way to find Class of 1967 members. For those classmates who haven't posted a profile, you may use the Contact Us form to request that we pass along your inquiry. However, you will not receive a response if the email address we have is outdated.
Even if you do not choose to post a profile on the website, the database that class reunion planners maintain must have a current email address in order to inform you of possible future events. If you change your email address, use the Contact Us link to let us know.

Comment:
Following NPHS I attended Princeton getting my degree in history. I played football for 2 years and baseball for 4 years. Ronnie Hilles and I continued dating during our college years, and we got married at Nativity BVM in Media right after we both graduated. That Fall we moved back to Philadelphia so I could get my MBA from Wharton. Ronnie taught math and science at Drexel Hill Junior High and supported me through school. After vacationing in Europe for a month following graduation, we moved to NYC to start working. My first job was with Compton Advertising in Account Management working on the Comet Cleanser business. I worked in NYC for the next 21 years, 4 years at Compton, 5 years at Bristol-Myers in product management, then 12 years in marketing/sales in the Foods Division of American Home Products ( now Wyeth ). During the first 4 years we lived in the upper West Side of Manhattan, then in 1977 we bought our first home in Westport, CT. We liked the town so much we stayed there for the next 17 years! Most importantly, it was during that time that we had our three children, David (1980), Lauren (1983), and Matthew (1987). In 1994 we moved south to Charlotte, NC where I had taken a job running the sales and marketing groups at the Yale Lock Company. We lived there for 7 great years. During that time my job responsibilities shifted to leading various newly acquired companies. In 1997-98 my offices were in Atlanta and Guadalajara, Mexico. In 1998-99, I ran my corporation's seven South African and Zimbabwe businesses out of the Johannesburg, S.A. office, being in country two of every three weeks. The travel really took its toll on all of us. Finally, in October, 1999 I took over as President of Kidde Fire Fighting in Exton, PA. Definitely a shorter commute than to South Africa! Ronnie and the kids stayed in Charlotte until the summer of 2001 so our middle child Lauren could finish high school. Our move to Radnor occured in July, 2001, where our youngest Matt started as a freshman at Radnor HS that September. In 2005 United Technologies Corporation bought the Kidde companies. As part of the post acquisition restructuring activities I left Kidde/UTC last summer. I'm now in transition looking for my next career opportunity. Our kids are now virtually grown up. Two are out of college and getting prepped to go to on to graduate school. One wants to be a clinical psuchologist and the other an M.D. The youngest, Matt, just finished his sophomore year at his Mom's alma mater Bucknell. He is playing varsity soccer there and is in the Business Management program. This June Ronnie and I celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. Add the 7 plus years of dating since our first date at the Freshman Dance and that's 43 years of being together. Celebrating that milestone with our old classmates from NPHS will be a thrill! |

Comment: How to give a synopsis of 40 yrs. ? Ah, just tell the good stuff, of course. Married shortly after graduation from NPHS in Oct. '68 to Rick who was in Viet Nam when we graduated. We had two children in the mid 70's. Children's and mom's playgroups (mostly playing alot of tennis), Scouts, camping, sailing, extracurricular activities (for Dan and Karen) family vacations, and domestic tasks were 'the stuff of life'. I had part-time jobs--mostly in physicians offices. As the years passed, I felt that what I really wanted to do was to help patients/clients personally. In 1987 I enrolled in Harcum College, graduated in 1991 and had my new career in occupational therapy. Working with people from the age of 6 to 96 having disabilities; physical, mental and/or developmental has been challenging and rewarding. I have also realized that so many people have much larger troubles than I have.

What are your plans for retirement?:
We hope to be semi-retired within a year--work a couple of days a week. Our plan, by 2010, is to move to a somewhat warmer climate, be close to a beach, and to work only if it's an irresistible job. |

Comment: Remember Mr. Jackson's 'Quotes of the Day? My favorite then was 'Life is the art of drawing without an eraser!' Over the past forty years, there have been times I could have used a HUGE eraser!! Married since 1971, I've lived the life of a naval aviator's wife--long deployments, travel opportunities, and fantastic reunions--while raising two great kids. I visit the Wallingford area occassionally as my brother lives in the same neighborhood as Chalky Wright. I've enjoyed catching up with everyone's activities--my special thanks to the reunion committee!
Grandchildren: | 3 |
Hobbies: Investigating historical sites, travel, camping, and hiking.
What are your plans for retirement?: Way too busy to retire, but when I do, time in Scandanvia and New Zealand will top the list. |

Comment: Leaving the business world was a challenge for me, but I've realized how burned out I had become. My husband, although older than me, retired after I sold my business and we've been able to enjoy the benefits of living in a beautiful lake community. My last daughter got married this spring and inherited two adorable kids, bringing our grandchildren to 15. I have picked up writing and have expanded into book editing, both of which were major fruits of having a research business. I'm also learning bridge (aargh!), resisting learning golf, and doing research project work on social justice issues. I'm excited to come back to the Philly area and see everyone!

Comment: I met my husband Nick at The George Washington University where we both went to college. We have been married for 34 years. We married a year after we graduated from college and moved to Stony Book , NY and Madison, WI until he finished his Ph.D. We ended up in first in Syracuse, NY where I went back to school for my library degree and then Indiana, PA where we now live. We have 2 children--A son who just received his Ph. D. in Organic Chemistry and a daughter who is a restaurant manager and just got married.
Grandchildren: | none |
Hobbies: My hobbies include gardening, reading and dollhouse miniatures. My hobby has now turned into my career. After 32 years working in libraries in various positions (the last 26 as a librarian at a public library), I retired from the library in 2006. I had started my own business selling dollhouse miniatures in 1997 and did both for 9 years. Once I retired from the library my business became my fulltime work. I love being able to make a living from what I love doing.
What are your plans for retirement?: Since I already retired from being a librarian, I plan to continue working at my business for as long as I can. |

Comment:
My life since 1967 has had many ups and downs, but I have no regrets. After graduation from NPHS in 1967, I began my college days at PMC in Chester Since wood working was always a hobby of mine (Mr. Wilkinson also would have been proud) I became a glorified/educated handyman. Over the next few years, I taught myself every trade and became a kitchen & bath remodeling specialist and later, a general contractor and interior designer for the next twenty six years. Even though I was a general contractor I still continued to do much of the physical work which took its toll on two of my disc levels in my lower back. I left the contracting business and took an interim position at My girlfriend & I enjoy traveling. Last year we won a trip to Paris, but we were so pressed for time that we went there for a long weekend. What a whirlwind vacation. We especially like traveling to I’d like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to the Reunion Committee for putting together such a great event, especially the “virtual reunion” which convinced me to attend. Muchas Gracias! |

Hobbies: Golfing, boating, fishing, cooking and traveling... not necessarily in that order. We enjoy the grandkids and are fortunate that they are close by (but not too close) in Hershey. We have also had the opportunity to visit Cathy's parents on a regular basis since they moved back to France in 1979. |
